Teru wasn’t a returnee, he learned English by himself in Japan.

She studied English textbooks at a cram school in the sixth grade of elementary school.

This worked, and she became good at English in junior high school.

In high school, she focused on hearing. She listened to FEN, the US military’s Far East radio station at the time.

She is a Zen practitioner called Shikantaza.

I applied this to English conversation by playing FEN all day long. You don’t have to know what it means.

I just keep listening.

One day, in the summer of my third year in high school, I heard English.

In other words, I don’t know the meaning of English, but I came to understand it as a word.

I think it’s also Japanese.

Once you’ve come this far, all you have to do is look up the word in an English-English dictionary.

The next task is to think of English in English.

I achieved this because I had a dream in English when I studied abroad.

It’s understandable because I didn’t have anyone to speak English with in Japan.

Let Me See

ちょっとまって Just a  moment

間をもたせる間に考えるのです。

1) First, get your pronunciation right.

Make it clear from 1 to 10.

2) Speak as a liaison in French.

For this, I read the English textbook for the 3rd grade of junior high school in a loud voice, paying attention to pronunciation and liaisons.

Try reading.

And to finish, learn one phrase English conversation firmly.

in particular,

1) First of all, even if a foreigner visits, I feel relieved if I can listen to them.

2) Memorize backtracking.

for example,

Please say it again → please say it again

Make a break with Well

Yes, let me see

Just a moment

Think while you have time.
